Construction Complete, Crop Planted
I've finished building the second bed, added soil, planted a number of plants, and run out of time for blogging or photographing. I'll add detail in another post later in the week.
And since I finished in a marathon run, I'm off to bed!
This is an attempt to chronicle the development of an Urban Homestead (well SUBurban, really) started on 2008-05-04.
Feel free to comment on the posts although I have no idea how frequently I will respond.
I, the homesteader, don't have a clue about gardening here at the beginning of the project so I'm hoping to learn as I go.
The homestead is just barely OTP (outside the Perimeter) on the East side of Metro Atlanta. I am squarely in the post-WWII suburban development zone with all of the odd property shapes, closed subdivisions, and poor street design.
The property is on the north side of a low hill with many trees, mostly pine.
